It has provided me a sense of community with caring instructors, staff and colleagues. For that I am grateful. Thank you! The invaluable skills that I have gained during the course of this program will not only help me in my career pursuits but also in my daily life.

Year Up is a life changing program, and I am forever grateful for the staff and the community. Since being in the program I have gained so much knowledge and so much confidence in myself.

Because of this experience, I know my future is brighter. Paul Getty Museum for being the platform where I showcase my skills. The exposure to different organizational patterns and business fundamentals at the Villa, has intensified my desire to pursue my higher education in Business Operations. I look forward to all of the professional opportunities and connections this experience will bring.

I plan to take everything I have learned from my internship at Hulu, and during the course of the program with Year Up Los Angeles with me to my next career. Thank you for showing me the power of community, and the power I hold within myself. Thank you students and staff, for helping me grow as an individual and achieve success as a professional.

I got the chance to explore outside my comfort zone and build my confidence. The program has taught me so much about building community and lifting others while you climb.

I hope to utilize the knowledge Year Up and the amazing staff have provided me to work for organizations that align with my values. After joining, I can say it was a very wise decision. I have gained work experience through the program and through Morgner Construction Management Corp.. I also gained new friends and skills, confidence and a passion for success.

In the process, I have made many memories and people that I will forever cherish. My journey with Year Up showed me that nothing is impossible, you just have to put your mind to it.

Year Up has given me a career path I would not have found without them. The staff in this program is very inspirational and motivational.

Thank you staff, colleagues, and everyone who helped us succeed. Thanks to Year Up for supporting young individuals to close the Opportunity Divide, we are able to make a change and continue to do so, as a family, as a partnership, and as a movement. Thanks to YULA and the Document Management Shared Service team at Kaiser Permanente, I have acquired the foundational skills necessary to be successful in the workplace and gained more confidence in myself.

Five days a week, I worked hour shifts at a warehouse, and another six hours per day at Subway. Year Up has helped me dedicate most of that time, to further my education and pursue a successful career.

Thank you for reading this. I am honored to be a part of this community; I have learned much from the staff and interns that will last me forever. I appreciate every effort to my success. I hope that I have impacted others as others have me.

Thank you UMG for accepting me as an intern as I have also learned much about doing real work and having a real impact within a company. This program has helped me develop great soft skills and gain a broader understanding of customer service not just externally but internally also. You never know the change you can make until you decide to be the change. In my world, my change started at Year Up and my capability has grown exponentially.

Through their rigorous program and strong mentorship, I have gained insight and knowledge to succeed in the business world as well as grow as an individual. I would have never met the amazing people if I stayed in my comfort zone. I came into this program with a beginner level of interest in technology and left with an advance skill set not only through a technical lens but in a communicative setting as well.

What seemed to be a scam ended up being an amazing opportunity for me to improve my IT skills and embrace my talents. I thank Year Up for teaching me the necessary skills to excel in the workplace.

During my Year Up journey, I learned, getting out of your comfort zone, will bring opportunity and success. Thank you, Year Up staff, for allowing me space, to grow and gain the confidence to face the world.

I was able to branch out and network with those around me and my communication skills are far beyond what they have been. These skills have greatly enhanced my quality of life and my marketability in a corporate environment.
